Recently, Mint Innovation had the privilege of being a part of PM Jacinda Ardern's trade mission to Australia, accompanied by 30 other New Zealand-based companies. Mint was represented by our CEO Dr. Will Barker as the company is currently building the world's first biorefining in Sydney, taking a big step forward in tackling Australia's growing e-waste problem with low carbon, circular economy solution.

This trade mission marked a significant point for the New Zealand Government's Tasman relation and Trade Recovery Strategy as the aim was to accelerate the nation's robust economic recovery, post COVID-19, by re-engaging with the outside world as Australia is New Zealand's only official ally and its most significant economic partner. Other businesses accompanying the Prime Minister and her delegation included companies in fields spanning Consumer Goods and Fashion, Technology, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Clean Tech, Investment and Tourism, and represent New Zealand’s commitment to sustainable growth and innovation in the Australian market.
